Position Title: Level 2 Support Engineer

Location: Sandton, Gauteng (In-person)

Salary: Market related dependent on experience and qualifications

Job Type: Full-time


About the Role

As a Level 2 Support Engineer, you’ll manage and resolve customer support requests with professionalism and efficiency, balancing proactive and reactive support across both remote and onsite environments. Your insights and feedback will help shape the service delivery and support experience for our valued clients.

This position reports directly to the Service Desk Team Leader and indirectly to the CEO.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Deliver remote and onsite support to clients.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues effectively.
  • Install and configure IT systems.
  • Offer advice and training on IT usage.
  • Manage and escalate support tickets as necessary.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction remains a top priority.
  • Maintain documentation and assist in internal staff development.
  • Provide feedback on recurring issues, process gaps, and documentation needs.
  • Stay up to date with the latest developments in IT systems and best practices.

What they're Looking For?


Qualifications & Certifications:

  • Tertiary qualification in Computer Science / IT or equivalent.
  • Industry certifications (e.g. Microsoft, CompTIA, Cisco) are advantageous.

Required Experience:

  • 5+ years in IT administration or technical support.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Windows OS and Office 365 suite (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Intune).
  • Azure Administration (3+ years).
  • Remote Monitoring & Management (RMM) tools (automation, patching, asset tracking).
  • SaaS Alerts platform exposure.
  • Networking knowledge: DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, endpoint protection.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
  • Self-motivated and works well independently or in a team.
  • Professional appearance and demeanour.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to documentation accuracy.
  • Able to uphold confidentiality and company policies.

Additional Requirements

  • Reliable own transport is essential.
  • Must be based in or near Sandton, Gauteng.
  • Availability for in-person work at the office/client site.
