ICT Broker’s client, a forward-thinking Managed Services Provider (MSP), is looking for a Centralised Services Engineer to join their dynamic team. About the Role

The Centralised Services Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation, optimisation, and innovation of both internal and client-facing IT environments. This position demands deep technical expertise in infrastructure architecture, cloud systems, automation, and MSP tools. You’ll act as a key escalation point for the helpdesk team and drive improvements through scripting, tool integration, and proactive system management.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead the deployment and management of MSP tools (RMM, PSA, Backup, Antivirus, Patch Management).
  • Automate processes and develop scripts to enhance efficiency and reduce recurring issues.
  • Monitor client environments, manage backups (Veeam, Acronis, Azure/AWS), and ensure data integrity.
  • Administer Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, and Intune platforms.
  • Configure and support firewalls (Fortinet, Sophos, Ubiquiti), servers, and networking infrastructure.
  • Monitor client environments and respond to alerts, following incident response procedures.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and proactive service delivery remain top priorities.
  • Act as a senior escalation point for complex technical issues and 3rd-line support for escalations from Level 1 & 2 engineers..
  • Deliver internal training and maintain documentation across centralised services.
  • Evaluate and integrate new MSP tools and drive continuous improvement.


What They’re Looking For


Qualifications & Certifications:

  • IT-related tertiary qualification or degree (Computer Science / IT).
  • Industry certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, Fortinet, Sophos, Cisco, or equivalent).


Required Experience:

  • 8+ years in IT support, with 5+ years in MSP service management.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, and backup technologies.
  • Advanced networking and firewall expertise (Fortinet, Sophos, Netgear and Ubiquiti).
  • Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Python) and automation.
  • Excellent communication, mentoring, and problem-solving skills.
  • Relevant IT qualifications and certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, AWS, Fortinet, Azure)
  • Exposure to security platforms like Sophos, CrowdStrike, and WithSecure.
  • Experience with N-able N-Central.
  • Comfortable working after hours when needed.
  • High attention to detail and process orientation.
  • Ability to manage projects, tasks, and escalations effectively.
  • Professional appearance, punctuality, and confidentiality.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and within a team and to work under pressure.
